Detailed Itinerary :
Day 1 : Delhi
Join the tour group to have glimpse of some magnificent monuments in the capital city of India. The historical monuments are specimen of architectural wonder, constructed during the Mughal era. Visit to some prominent monuments like India Gate, Lotus temple, Qutub Minar and other famous attractions of Delhi as per schedule. After that you will be ushered to Safdarjang Railway station to board Palace on Wheels.
Day 2 : Jaipur
Jaipur is a first stoppage for the train. Explore the beauty and charm of this well panned city, also known as Pink City in its majestic forts and monuments. Firstly you will be ushered to the remarkable historical building – Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, a five storeyed building in the form of semi-octagonal shape, consisting of sandstone windows. Another place of tourist attractions includes Amber fort, city Palace and Jantar Mantar. The city has lot to offer which you can buy like marble inlay works, precious stones, gems and jewellery, block prints and bandhani textiles. At the end of the you will return to the railway station to board the train.
Day 3 : Sawai Madhopur and Chittaugarh
The next day you will reach Sawai Madhopur from where we will immediately proceed to the Ranthambore National Park famous for its lush green vegetation, placid lakes and serene environment. The park shelter numerous flora and fauna species and over 272 bird species. After visiting the park you will board the train and proceed for Chittaugarh. After having lunch on board you will be visiting Chitoaugarh fort. The majestic fort narrates the tales of valor, love and chivalry.
Day 4 : Udaipur
Welcome to the 'city of lakes', Udaipur. Designed with the taste of royal grandeur, there are some beautiful palaces like Jag Niwas (lake Palace), Jag Mandir and City Palace. The city is also famous for its miniature paintings amongst the tourists.
Day 5 : Jaisalmer
The next visit is to one of the most fascinating and amazing city of tourist interest. Depart for local sightseeing like Nathmalji-ki-haveli, Patwon-ki-haveli and Salim Singh-ki-haveli. Also you will be visiting some vast expanses of sand dunes and enjoy exciting camel safari to explore the spendid beauty of the surrounding area. In the night relish the Rajasthani cultural programme to get an insight of lifestyle and traditional culture of locales. After that we will depart for Jodhpur.
Day 6 : Jodhpur
Next day we will guide you to some fascinating and magnificent attractions of Jodhpur like Moti Mahal (Pearl Palace), Phool Mahal (flower Palace) and Sukh Mahal (pleasure Palace). Day 7 : Bharatpur and Agra
The next day early morning you will be reaching Bharatpur. We will usher you to the famous bird sanctuary – Keoladeo Ghana National Park which is haven to more than four hundred exotic bird species and also nesting place for many migratory birds. After a short stay here you will be boarding the train and proceed for the next destination, Agra. We will guide you to some majestic historical monuments well known for its architectural wonder and intricate work. Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of world is an epitome of undying love.
Day 8: Delhi
After the dinner on board and whole night travelling, arrive at Safdarjung railway station, New Delhi. From there you will get the transfer to the Indira Gandhi Airport, so that you can catch the flight to onward destination. The journey ends in Delhi.
