This extravaganza is a coveted event for the music lovers-the performers as well as the listeners. The cultural entourage can be seen in the brilliantly hued costumes donned by people of Bikaner. Men, women and children, clad in colorful traditional attires, can be seen enjoying the grand festival and buying the exotic gift items. The males wearing colorful bright-colored turbans and the ladies wearing multi-colored lehangas and chunri adds vibrancy and charm to the festival. Festive fervor gets more exciting by the cultural performances which includes folk dances and music.

The festival begins with the procession of decorated camels. Three days of extravaganza displays exciting events, where open competition is held for best decorated camel, best fur-cutting style on the camel, camel best breed and fastest running camel. To add some more fun and color to the festival several other events are organized such as camel dance, tug-of-war contest, acrobatics and folk dances.
