Wildlife Destinations In Rajasthan:
Sariska Tiger Reserve: Sariska Tiger Reserve is a very important wildlife destination in Rajasthan. It is situated in the huge and thickly wooded region in the Alwar district of Aravali ranges. In the year 1978, it was included in the Project Tiger. According to the census of 1997, Sariska has 24 Indian Tigers. The park is also famous for leopard, sambhar, nilgai, wild dog, and chinkaras. An elephant or a jeep safari to this reserve is an ideal way to stare this animal from a close corner.

Ranthambore National Park: It is the nearby attraction of Sawai Madhopur district in Rajasthan. It stretches over an area of approx 400 sq km and if combined with the area of the Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary, it totals an area of 500 sq km. Ranthambore National Park was declared as a Tiger sanctuary under the Tiger Project in 1973. Thanks to the Tiger Project, Ranthambore has now 36 tigers. Apart from Tigers, Ranthambore is also home to Jackals, Mongooses, Sloth bears, Leopards etc. Here, you can engage yourself in Jeep Safari to have a close view of these animals.

Keoladeo Ghana National Park (Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary): Keoladeo Ghana National Park, earlier known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is a paradise for bird connoisseurs. Established in 1760 A.D by Maharajah Suraj Mal of Bharatpur, is a man-made protected area for wildlife species. Located 6km from the Bharatpur city centre, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary stretches to a small area of 29 sq km and counted among one of the finest bird sanctuary in the entire world. It has also attained the status of a a World Heritage Site for its uniqueness. Keoladeo Ghana National Park provides shelter to numerous migratory and resident avi-faunal species such as Siberian Cranes, Pelicans, Geese, Ducks, Eagles, Hawks, Warblers, Wheatears, Flycatchers, Buntings, Larks, Shanks, Stints, Wagtails and Pipits, etc. Apart from birds, Bharatpur National Park also houses many animals like Sambhar, Chital, Nilgai and Boar. A ride on the back of elephant is the best way to view these animals.

Apart from them Rajasthan, has some more protected forested areas such as Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary, Darrah Wildlife Sanctuary, Jaisamand Lake and Wildlife Sanctuary.
