The recreation facilities at the Shiv Niwas Palace include: Swimming Pool,
Billiards, Squash, Boating, Horse Riding, Table Tennis, Holistic Health
Treatment, Internet and Video player (on request), and a Scottish Band
(saluting the setting sun everyday).
Climate

The peak season in Udaipur runs through autumn, winter and spring in the
months of October - March. The temperature is approximately 14ºC - 22ºC,
and the rainfall is occasional, with light showers. During this period, you
would require woolens or heavy cottons from mid November to mid February .

The Lake city, Udaipur has a treasure of rich heritage and therefore a
visit to this city brings forth a picture of the entire regal legacies
bestowed upon the virtuous land of Rajasthan.

City Palace : Well fortified City Palace stands white and majestic on a
hill. The main entrance, a triple arched gate named the Tripolia, built in
1725, is a marvel. The Suraj Gokhada, the Balcony of the Sun, where the
Suryavanshi Maharanas of Mewar, presented themselves in times of trouble to
the people to restore their confidence, is another fascinating monument. The
Chini Chitrashala is noteworthy for its blue and white ceramics.

entranced Maharaja Udai Singh. It was later enlarged by the founder. The
lake is surrounded by hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and
embankments. Two island palaces, Jag Mandir and Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) on
the lake are of breathtaking magnificence.
» Jagdish Temple : Built in 1651 A.D. By Maharana
Jagat Singh, this Indo-Aryan temple is the largest and the most beautiful
temple of Udaipur with noteworthy sculpted images.
» Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandir : The interesting
collection exhibited by this Indian folk arts museum includes folk dresses,
ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, folk musical instruments, folk deities and
paintings.
