» Polo : Polo is the sport of Kings, or so the saying goes. In Jodhpur it's almost a way of life and some of the best riders in the country come from this part of India. If you are interested in the sport and/or your kids like horses or are simply curious, go and watch a game.

» Horse Riding : Horses are part and parcel of Jodhpur (being one of the centres for the equestrian sport of Polo in the world and being the city that riding breeches "jodhpurs" were named after). If you are interested in watching a game or getting on the back of one of these beautiful animals and galloping along a dessert trail or ambling through the dunes, then this is one activity all but the youngest family members can enjoy.

» Cycling : Jodhpur surrounds are pleasant for cycling and if you are really keen there are mountain biking tours in the area.

» Umaid Bhawan Palace : The royal city of Jodhpur looks like a newly wed bride under sunshine. It houses magnificent Umaid Bhawan Palace. It is an opulent edifice in which there is a museum displaying some of the rare artifacts that date back to the time immemorial. The palace was built during famine to provide employment to the workers.

» Mehrangarh Fort : Rajasthan is all about royalty and all this is realized more when one visits the opulent Mehrangarh Fort. It is an exhilarating experience to reach this 5-km long majestic fort, which is located on a 125 meter high hill. The palace is matchless in architectural excellence with marvelously carved panels, latticed windows and evocative names.

» Jaswant Thada : This royal cenotaph in white marble displays various portraits of Jodhpur rulers. Visitors get absorbed when exploring the beauty of the palace.
